Progression of AIDS
The progression of AIDS can be explained in a way as the following diagram demonstartes. Malnutrition, oxidative stress and HIV form a vicious cycle where each condition worsens the other. Usually oxidative stress suppresses immune response, subsequently HIV replication speeds up, then constitution deteriorates, leading to poor appetite, diarrhea and difficulty in nutrition absorption. Inadequate VE, VC and other nutrition substance uptake intensifies oxidative stress, and another circle starts.
